HYBRID TRUCK Product Update: Great news, the applications for hybrid has been expanded to include the International WorkStar Hybrid 4x4 for utility applications. The International DuraStar Hybrid has been expanded to beverage tractor truck up to 55,000lbs GVW diminishing load. Additional HP ratings have been added. Several new locations for the PEC and many feature codes have been added.
Auxiliary Power Generator: (APG) is available for utility applications. There are currently two feature codes associated with the APG offering: 60AKD – mounted inside the left rail, back of Cab location and 60AKE – mounted outside the left rail, back of Cab. Pricing will be provided when the SQ is submitted with production availability in January 2009.
HYBRID Tax Credits: The IRS Heavy Duty Vehicle Credit, enacted by the Energy Policy Act of 2005, provided for four separate tax credits for different types of energy efficient vehicles. The amount of the tax credit can range from $3,000 to $12,000 credits apply. Tax credits do not apply to the beverage tractor at this point in time.
